State Minister forInformation and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, expressed hopethat corruption and irregularities would be significantly diminished bydistributing aid to the helpless and destitute in the country using digitalcards with QR codes. He expressed such optimism while providing food aid to 120helpless and jobless families in Sukash and Dahiya Unions of Singra Upazila onSunday (April 26).

 

The state minister saidthe software for distribution of rice in this manner would be coordinatedbetween the Ministry of Food, the Ministry of Relief, and the Ministry ofAgriculture through the Central Database. Besides, the concerned departmentwill be able to know where and how much rice has been distributed in any nameonly after searching. In this way, no one will be able to pick up one\'s rice.This will ensure transparency and accountability.
