The finance ministry hasreleased Tk 257 crore to give to 5 million poor families affected by thecoronavirus across the country. Each family will be given two and a halfthousand rupees at a time.

According to sources, theEid bonus given by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be given through 4 mobilephone-based financial service providers (MFS). Among them, this service will beprovided to the maximum number of families through the financial serviceprovider cash in the mobile of the postal department. This coronary Eid bonusallocated for marginalized people will be distributed to 17 lakh familiesthrough cash. 15 lakh families will be distributed from bKash account. And thisEid-bonus will be given to 10 lakh and 6 lakh families through Rocket and SureCash respectively.

It has been reported thaton Monday (May 11) the money was released from two branches of the financedepartment of the finance ministry. This money will be given irrespective ofvillage and town.

Prime Minister SheikhHasina is scheduled to inaugurate the program on May 14. Distribution willstart and will continue till Eid-ul-Fitr. This information has been known fromthe sources of the Ministry of Finance.
