Postal,Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbarinaugurated a day-long review workshop organized by the Bangladesh ComputerCouncil\'s conference room at Agargaon, Dhaka.

He said that SoftwareRequirement Specification (SRS) has been prepared by analyzing the detailsaccording to the needs of all stakeholders to create procurement and assetmanagement Modules as a part of GRP (Government Resource Planning) software toensure the transparency and accountability of the government.

With the development oftwo modules, it can be easily done by coordinating with e-GP, and all thepurchases can be done easily and the efficiency of proper use and procurementof the purchased assets will increase.

The Minister also saidthat with the help of the entire local technicians, the government ofBangladesh has made a huge task of creating a GRP system for the use ofdifferent ministries, divisions, offices of the Government of Bangladesh and abig challenge, with all sincere efforts, urged all concerned to expedite itsdevelopment activities.

Presided over byExecutive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council Parthapratim Dev, theworkshop was attended by Secretary of the Department of Information andCommunication Technology NM Ziaul Alam, various departments, head of the organization, stakeholders of the project, representatives of BUET\'s designatedconsultancy team and Synesis IT. Workshop conducts and welcomed the projectdirector Dr. Ashok Kumar Roy. The 48 participants of different ministries,divisions and organizations participated in the workshop.

Under Bangladeshe-Governance ERP Pilot Project, a total of nine modules are being developed forthe six organizations of ICT Division and four agencies of the PlanningMinistry. Later this GRP will be implemented in all the ministries, divisionsand organizations of Bangladesh.
