Google AI Studio lets anyone build Android apps for free without writing a single line of code. Until now, installing a finished app directly on a phone required technical steps such as connecting the device to a computer over USB and enabling USB debugging. Google has solved that problem by adding a new feature to Google Play, so apps created in Google AI Studio can now be launched on your own phone directly through Google Play.
According to Google, personal apps built in Google AI Studio can run straight on your Android phone. The apps stay in your private collection on Google Play, which means they will not appear in the public Play Store listings or in search results. Initially, users who are 18 or older in the United States and a few selected countries will get access to the feature. With it, users can write instructions in plain language and, with the help of artificial intelligence, create personal apps for their own use — all that is required is a regular Google account.
Google said that in Google AI Studio, you first write instructions based on your needs. You simply explain in everyday language what kind of app you want and which features it should include, and the AI gets to work building it. If any necessary feature is missed during the build, you will receive suggestions to add it. Once the app is ready, it can be edited, and you can even discard the previous version and start over from scratch.
Google also plans to introduce the ability to share a finished app with family members and close friends. If an app becomes popular enough to distribute on a larger scale, there will be an option to publish it to everyone through a professional developer account. In that case, the app must meet Google Play's security review and quality standards. Source: ZDNet.
