Twenty-eight Hi-Tech parkare being developed across the country. State Minister for Information andCommunications Technology Junayed Ahmed Palak said six months of free officespace will be provided to new entrepreneurs.

He says, \'A new entrepreneurcan enjoy all kinds of benefits for six months. This will create anecosystem for startups across the country’. He said this while inaugurating acompetition titled \'Startup Contest forBeijing-based Women She Loves Tech\'at the Startup Meeting of Agargaon ICT Tower in the capital on Saturday (August31th). Seminars were arranged at Turtle Ventures, IOBE and the EMK Center.

Referring to Bangladesh as acountry of immense potential, the Minister said, "Here all the strong,weak and especially capable should be given equal opportunity to enjoy thebenefits of digital Bangladesh."

He also said, "When awoman becomes economically self-sufficient, the empowerment of women in thecountry is fully established." Only if women can visually increasetheir participation in the ICT sector can it be possible to make womeneconomically self-sufficient in the country. \'

It is to be noted that the competitionwas organized by She Loves Tech, an international startup for Beijing-basedwomen organized by the Turtle Venture, IOBE and EMK Center initiatives. Representativesfrom 40 countries of the world will participate in the competition in Beijing,China. After the day-long competition between the seven teams in theBangladesh phase, the winning team will have the opportunity to go to Beijing.

On the occasion, Tina F.Jabin, Advisor to Startup Bangladesh-Idea, and senior executives of ICT,including RITS Browser CEO KM Rashedul Majid were also present.
