A \'Probasbandhu\' callcenter has been set up for expatriates in Saudi Arabia to provide healthservices in Corona on mobile phones with 67 expatriate doctors with 5 emonumbers including a hotline. The numbers are- +8809611999911and 01400611995-8and 0195810502. A2I has implemented this initiative in the health care of 22lakh Saudi expatriates.
The service was unveiledat an online video meeting on Wednesday. Foreign Minister. AK Abdul Momen,Expatriate Welfare Minister Imran Ahmed, State Minister for Information andCommunication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak addressed the meeting.
Among others present wereForeign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, Expatriate Welfare Ministry Secretary SelimReza, ICT Secretary NM Ziaul Alam, Additional Secretary from Bangladesh Embassyin Saudi Arabia Abul Hasan, A2I Project Director Dr Abdul Mannan and PolicyAdvisor Anir Chowdhury, Wage Earners Board Director-General, A2I ChiefE-Governance Strategist Farhad Zahid Sheikh Face.
On the occasion, theMinister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Expatriate Welfare thankedA2I for taking initiatives to protect the health of expatriates. He alsothanked the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology forcoordinating the entire process and called for the launch of the service in allcountries.
Foreign Minister said ina statement. AK Abdul Momen praised the ICT department for introducing 34 typesof services for expatriates in the app. He shared his positive experiencesusing hotlines 333 and 999.
On the other hand,Expatriate Welfare Minister Imran Ahmed said that the government has alreadysent assistance of Tk 10 crore to the embassies for the welfare of theexpatriates.
State Minister for ICTJunaid Ahmed Palak said the real friend is in danger. And expatriates are thedriving force of our economy. And so, in their peril, our Corona war front-lineparamedics have come forward. About 250 doctors from Bangladesh have alsoexpressed interest in joining the service. This call center is being operatedthrough CRM software.
