On March 15, a group representing France\'s Muslimsfiled a lawsuit against Facebook on Facebook and YouTube in a protest againstthe spread of Christchurch in New Zealand.

The French Council of Muslim Fight (CFCM) submittedlegal papers against two technology companies in response to the spread of thevideo contained in the terrorist attack of Christchurch city on the basis ofthe spread in the social platform. They say, companies promote terrorism andpromote such things that harm human dignity. There was no immediate commentfrom the companies.
CFCM president Ahmed Vargas told CNN that taking thelegal process against Facebook for not restricting the rapid spread of video.

According to the Facebook authorities, they haveremoved hundreds of copies of the video from their platform. However, videofootage is available for several hours after Facebook, Twitter, Instagram WhatsAppand Utu attacks.
A spokesman for the Federation of Islamic Associationof New Zealand (FINZ) Federation welcomes the French party\'s activities. Hesaid his organization had planned to contact Facebook to register theircomplaints, but they were still busy after the attack, hence they could notfile a case.
A statement published on the Facebook website saidthat nearly 15 million shared videos were removed from the video of the attackwithin the first 24 hours. Nearly 12 blocked video uploads, which means thatFacebook users cannot see it. However, Facebook authorities failed to say theamount of viewers for the rest of the 3 million views of the content.
A Facebook spokesman told the BBC, "Facebook isnot a place of bad activity and hate speech by a terrorist. We have compassionfor the families of the victims and the families affected by this tragedy.Immediately after the attack, we quickly took the initiative to remove thevideo from our platform. Besides, we are cooperating with the authorities. "
One has been charged with a count of murder inChristchurch shooting and will appear in court on April 5.
