The seven elected directors of the BASIS are Md Mostafizur Rahaman Sohel, Didarul Alam, M Asif Rahman, Syed Abdullah Jayed, Mir Shahrukh Islam and Muhammad Risalat Siddique and Biplob Ghosh Rahul.The election of the executive council of BASIS took place on May 8 with 33 candidates vying for the 11 positions. Among them, eight were elected from the general category and one each from the associate, affiliate and international categories. Out of 1,464 voters, 1,157 voted in this year's BASIS election.TIM Nurul Kabir, chairman of the BASIS election board; Syed Mamnun Quader and Nazim Farhan Choudhury, members of the election board, were also present at the executive council handover ceremony at BASIS head office in the capital.

Winners in associate and affiliate categories are Syed Abdullah Jayed of Finalytics and Biplob Ghosh Rahul of Carnival Assure. Syed Mohammad Kamal of MasterCard and Abu Muhammad Rashed Mujib Noman of Augmedix got equal 3 votes in the international category while Kamal won through lottery.In this election 33 candidates contested in three panels Team Smart, One Team and Team Success. Of the eleventh executive position, Russel’s One Team won 8 positions in general, associate and affiliate categories while Team Smart of Sohel won 3 positions.Out of 1,464 voters, 1157 voted in this year's BASIS election. Among them 781 out of 932 voters voted in a general category, 250 out of 389 voters voted in the associate category, 118 out of 134 voters voted in the affiliate category and 8 out of 9 voters voted in the international category.

The information technology industry in Bangladesh has been honoured with awards by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) for its innovative products and service initiatives. This past Monday night, in a hotel in the country's capital, BASIS presented its "BASIS National ICT Awards" to 68 projects over 36 categories. This is the fifth time this event has taken place. In the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards competition, there will be participation from a number of projects that have previously won awards.Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed released a video message portraying the awards event. He stated in the message that the information and communication technology sector's export income now stands at 1.4 billion dollars. By 2025, we intend to raise this income to $5 billion.Lifetime Association Chairman and Chief Judge Abdullah H. Kafi supervised the evaluation process for the BASIS National ICT Awards. He stated that winning an award in the APICTA Awards competition is difficult. Therefore, award-winning projects as champions must prepare extremely well.Russell T. There was no competition as there was a single candidate in the international member category.
