BASIS participates in Japan tech show

Around 21 members of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) are participating at an international tech show in Japan.

The Japan IT Week is happening at Tokyo Big Sight from April 24 to 26, said a press release on Wednesday. Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) is supporting BASIS delegation.

In this trade show in Japan BASIS members will participate in B2B meetings, seminars, and networking events to expand business with different countries. In addition, participating stalls will highlight the capabilities of Bangladesh's technology sector by informing about their products and services and branding Smart Bangladesh.

Besides, this meeting will play an important role in creating a bond between investors and IT professionals, according to a press release.

As a part of Japan IT Week 2024, a seminar titled “Digital Bangladesh: Your IT Destination” was organized on Wednesday. At the seminar, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan gave a welcome speech while BHTPA Managing Director GSM Jafarullah also delivered a speech. Dr. Ariful Haque, Minister (Commerce), Embassy of Bangladesh, Tokyo and Rejwanur Kabir, COO of Destiny Inc. presented slide presentation. 

In the seminar, speakers said that Bangladesh is the next destination for investors in the field of information communication technology. Bangladeshi tech companies are able to provide products and services according to any international demand. Bangladesh's success in the international software and app market is also enviable.

The participanting companies are: Binate Solutions Ltd., Edusoft Consultants Limited, Brain Station 23., Fronture Technologies, NasceniaLimited, STITBD, Penta Global, NanoSoft System, Hello World Communications Ltd., Bdcalling., DreamOnline, Kawaii Advanced Technology & Solution, Intellier, BJIT, Attrabit ICT Solutions and Revo Interactive.

AKM Ahmedul Islam Babu, BASIS Director and Chairman of BASIS Japan Desk, coordinated the overall arrangements for participation in Japan IT Week 2024 for Bangladesh part.
