The 'Prabasbandhu' call center has been re-launched to provide health services to Saudi expatriates

A 'Probasbandhu' call center has been set up for expatriates in Saudi Arabia to provide health services in Corona on mobile phones with 67 expatriate doctors with 5 emo numbers including a hotline. The numbers are- +8809611999911and 01400611995-8 and 0195810502. A2I has implemented this initiative in the health care of 22 lakh Saudi expatriates.


The service was unveiled at an online video meeting on Wednesday. Foreign Minister. AK Abdul Momen, Expatriate Welfare Minister Imran Ahmed, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak addressed the meeting.

Among others present were Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, Expatriate Welfare Ministry Secretary Selim Reza, ICT Secretary NM Ziaul Alam, Additional Secretary from Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia Abul Hasan, A2I Project Director Dr Abdul Mannan and Policy Advisor Anir Chowdhury, Wage Earners Board Director-General, A2I Chief E-Governance Strategist Farhad Zahid Sheikh Face.

On the occasion, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Expatriate Welfare thanked A2I for taking initiatives to protect the health of expatriates. He also thanked the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology for coordinating the entire process and called for the launch of the service in all countries.

Foreign Minister said in a statement. AK Abdul Momen praised the ICT department for introducing 34 types of services for expatriates in the app. He shared his positive experiences using hotlines 333 and 999.

On the other hand, Expatriate Welfare Minister Imran Ahmed said that the government has already sent assistance of Tk 10 crore to the embassies for the welfare of the expatriates.

State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak said the real friend is in danger. And expatriates are the driving force of our economy. And so, in their peril, our Corona war front-line paramedics have come forward. About 250 doctors from Bangladesh have also expressed interest in joining the service. This call center is being operated through CRM software.
