Election Commission is giving NID copy in online

In the present Corona circumstance, the government
has propelled NID administration through SMS, online, and other public holidays.
Brigadier General Mohammad Saidul Islam,
Director-General of the National Identity Registration Division (NID Wing), delineate
this in a video conferencing on Monday (April 27).
During the session, he said the Bangladesh Election Commission has launched an online
service to bring NID services to the doorsteps of the people in this critical
situation of the country and the world affected by the Corona epidemic. To get
this online service, the voter must enter the site
https://services.nidw.gov.bd. Services will be available through SMS, online, and other times during this time of closure.
Services
provided online include: Collection of copies of National Identity Card
(registered as a voter but not receiving NID card), Collection of National
Identity Card Number, Correction of National Identity Card, Application for
Lost National Identity Card, New Voter Registration, SMS service.
He further added that those who have become voters but have not received the National Identity Card (NID) will currently have the option to collect a copy of the NID by completing the specific process online. You will get the original copy later if the public holiday or 'lockdown' is lifted.

newly registered voters or those who have been voters before, but did not get
the NID card will register online with their registration form number and date
of birth. Later they will get NID copy or number after biometric verification.
However, if there is a dual voter, NID copy or number will not be available.
Those who have
registered, but have not received the NID card, will get the NID number of the
applicant by going to the ‘Other Information’ tab of this website
https://services.nidw.gov.bd and entering the Form number and DOB (Date of
Birth) in the NID number link.
Those who have
got NID number, they can log in to the online portal by registering with the
information and mobile number of NID in the online portal. After login, the
applicant will be able to see all the data entered in the form. If the
registered person has not received the card before, he can collect NID copy
from the portal if he wants.
The process to get NID
number through mobile SMS: send to 105 by typing nid
<formNo> <dd-mm-yyyy>. NID number will be sent via return SMS.
