The finance ministry has released Tk 257 crore to give to 5 million poor families affected by the coronavirus across the country. Each family will be given two and a half thousand rupees at a time.

According to sources, the Eid bonus given by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be given through 4 mobile phone-based financial service providers (MFS). Among them, this service will be provided to the maximum number of families through the financial service provider cash in the mobile of the postal department. This coronary Eid bonus allocated for marginalized people will be distributed to 17 lakh families through cash. 15 lakh families will be distributed from bKash account. And this Eid-bonus will be given to 10 lakh and 6 lakh families through Rocket and Sure Cash respectively.

It has been reported that on Monday (May 11) the money was released from two branches of the finance department of the finance ministry. This money will be given irrespective of village and town.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate the program on May 14. Distribution will start and will continue till Eid-ul-Fitr. This information has been known from the sources of the Ministry of Finance.
